When someone first develops pain, the pain itself may be the only issue. However, over time the person may start to have work problems, there may be difficulties within the family, and they may withdraw from social and leisure activities. They may develop sleep problems, depression, anxiety, or they may use alcohol or drugs to cope. Over a relatively short period of time the person’s body can also change, so they become tighter, weaker in certain areas, or they may avoid certain movements that cause pain. All these issues make the problem bigger than just the pain itself.

At the Inner West Pain Centre we understand all these issues and how they come together make to make it so hard to have quality of life. We work with you to address all these problems in a comprehensive manner.

You have access to the full range of chronic pain treatments available today. These include medical interventions, spinal cord stimulation and neuromodulation, physical reconditioning programmes, chronic pain physiotherapy, radiofrequency lesions, pain management programmes, drug health, fit for work programmes, and chronic pain clinical psychology, to name a few.

You will struggle to find a team with more experience in the area and a greater commitment to helping people with chronic pain. Our experience has taught us how to work with someone who has been struggling for quite some time and help them to get their life back.

Over the years we have helped many, many people to re-engage back in life. We help people get back to work, improve their relationships, start up new hobbies and interests, get back into family life and so on.

You can be sure that you will be treated with understanding, dignity and respect at the centre. Nothing less is acceptable to us. You will not find people who write a script then leave you to work out how to improve things on your own. We will be with you every step of the way, on your side, helping you to improve your quality of life.
