Dr Michael Zhao

Dr Zhao is a highly skilled and dedicated pain specialist with extensive expertise in managing chronic pain conditions. He obtained his MBBS with a Major in Anaesthesiology from Tianjin Medical University, China, in 2005, and subsequently immigrated to Australia in 2006 to further his medical career. Dr Zhao holds a Diplomate of Emergency Medicine (ACEM) and dual Fellowships from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FFPMANZCA).

With a comprehensive background in Anesthesiology and pain management, Dr Zhao has developed a wide-ranging knowledge base and significant experience in perioperative and chronic pain management. His work is characterized by a strong commitment to improving patients’ quality of life and a deep understanding of the complexities of pain medicine.

Dr Zhao is known for his ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, enhancing patient care through collaboration with medical colleagues and allied health professionals. His exceptional communication skills and empathetic approach to patient care have been instrumental in providing high-quality, holistic treatment.
